I saved fifteen "AI appointment setting" ads. Here's how to tell who's real.
They all promise the same thing, with no names, no receipts, and no humans anywhere. I sell this for a living. The difference is checkable.
I saved every "AI appointment setting" ad Instagram served me this week. Fifteen of them.
They all promise the same thing: AI agents do the prospecting, the follow-up, the booking. You just show up and close. 3.4x ROAS. $10K a month. No names, no receipts, no humans anywhere.
I sell outreach for a living. Here's how to tell who's real, because the difference is checkable.
The four tests
1. Real operators show live numbers, not screenshots. Ask for a screen share of the actual dashboard. Not a slide. The dashboard, with today's date on it.
2. Real personalization survives one question. "Show me the message you'd send to me." If it could be sent to anyone, it will be sent to everyone, including your prospects.
3. A person should approve every message before it sends. If nobody reviews the output, you're renting a spam cannon pointed at your own reputation. Ask who reads the messages. Ask to meet them.
4. Capacity limits are a feature. Anyone who can take unlimited clients is selling the funnel, not the service. Ask how many clients they run per reviewer.
What happened to the fifteen
The wave that peaked in 2024 and 2025 is now public record. The biggest name in the category lost roughly three quarters of its customers inside 90 days, and one of its own logo-wall customers said publicly that the tool performed worse than the humans it replaced.
That's what "AI does everything" looks like after the trial ends.
Our own numbers, verifiable on a call
Across 65,000+ requests: 46.6% of connection requests accepted, 28.4% of those replied, and every message read by a person before it sent.
If you sell on sales calls and one of the fifteen already burned you, the four tests above are the checklist I'd use to vet any outbound vendor. Including us.
Give us 3 to 5 people you'd genuinely like to meet.
We'll show you the LinkedIn outreach we'd write for them, and why, before you pay a dollar. A person reads every message before it sends.
